Spotlight on Our Retail Partner: Shapiro's Gallery

At Christina Kober Designs, we're all about creating meaningful connections through our jewelry. One of our cherished partners is Shapiro's Gallery, a renowned art gallery that has been a significant part of our journey. In this Q&A session, Christina shares her experiences and insights about working with Shapiro's Gallery, highlighting the special bond that has formed over the years. From memorable moments to aligning values, discover what makes this partnership so special.

Q
: How did you first get connected with Shapiro's Gallery?

Christina Kober: About nine years ago, I participated in an art festival in St. Pete, Florida, where I met Alena from Shapiro's Gallery. She purchased a piece of my jewelry and later returned to ask if I sold to stores. That conversation cemented our relationship, and since then, I've regularly seen them at wholesale shows in Atlanta and New York. Now we've been working together for about 8 or 9 years.

Q
: You were recently featured on Shapiro’s new podcast, "SHAPIRO'S: Rooted in American Craft". What was that experience like for you?

CK: Oh, it was so much fun! I was really nervous initially because I don't love being on video, but Matt and Alena made me feel very comfortable. The 45-minute chat flew by and felt like it only took minutes.

Q
: How do you feel Shapiro’s Gallery aligns with your brand and artistic vision?

CK: Shapiro's Gallery works hard to build relationships with their patrons and provide top-notch customer service. Since customer service and relationships are so important to me, their values align perfectly with mine, making it easy to partner with them.

Q
: Which of your products does Shapiro’s Gallery carry?

CK: Shapiro’s Gallery has carried many of our message jewelry pieces, such as the fortune cookie and narrow cuff. Recently, they have started to carry more of our diamond-dusted pieces as well.

Q: What do you like most about having your work represented at Shapiro's Gallery?

CK: Shapiro's is a true art gallery, and having my work displayed there makes me feel more like an artist. I'm honored to be featured alongside so many talented artists they represent.

Q
: Can you share any memorable experiences or milestones from your time working with Shapiro's Gallery??

CK: One memorable experience was when I was pregnant with my son, Elliot, and Alena was also expecting her first baby. It was comforting to chat with a fellow business owner about the unknowns of what was coming, and it created a special connection between us.

Our partnership with Shapiro's Gallery has been a remarkable journey, filled with shared values, memorable experiences, and mutual growth. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious gallery and to connect with their wonderful patrons. As we continue to grow and evolve, we look forward to many more years of collaboration and creativity with Shapiro's Gallery. If you're ever in St. Pete, be sure to visit Shapiro's Gallery and experience the incredible art and craftsmanship they showcase. Thank you for being part of our story!
