Nothing brings me more joy than finding the perfect gift for someone. I love taking into consideration who they are, what our relationship is, and thinking about things that they may not have thought of for themselves. We are kicking off our thoughtful gifting series with holiday gift guides. Each member of the Christina Kober Designs team will be sharing their gift guide for the special people in their lives.

Working at a small business, we all appreciate the love and care that goes into each item. We also love putting thought and care behind each gift we give, so our gift guide will only feature small businesses.

For our third gift guide, Meghan is sharing her gift list!

For my son’s Aunt & Godmother
She works for a fashion designer in NYC and has an enviable wardrobe, so I often struggle with what to get her that she doesn’t already have. When we released the Diamond Dusted Mini Ear Climbers this year, I knew they would be right up her alley and definitely unlike anything else she owned. They are unique and fashion forward yet simple enough for her to wear every day. I’d also give her a pair of the Mini Diamond Dusted Studs because you can’t go wrong with them and they’re just so cute!

For my 1-year old son
I try to be really mindful when it comes to toys for Callen. It’s a challenge finding quality baby toys that won’t be over stimulating that are still educational and keep his attention. Once I discovered Little Sapling Toys I knew this is where I was going to be getting lots of his toys. The Circle Sapling Stacker Toy is made from different types of wood, so each stacking piece is a different color but not overwhelmingly colorful like some other stacking toys. I also love that they are a small company, made in the USA, and that they also plant a tree for every toy sold!

For my grandmother
Shopping for an 87-year-old who has had a very full life of collecting memories and knick-knacks can be challenging. I want to get her gifts that are useful, thoughtful and meaningful. The Lace Serving Tray from Handmade Studio in Nashville is perfect for her since she loves entertaining and having company. This tray is handmade, so it is one-of-a-kind, and it is the perfect size for her to serve sweet treats to her friends when they come over for coffee!
