Nothing brings me more joy than finding the perfect gift for someone. I love taking into consideration who they are, what our relationship is, and thinking about things that they may not have thought of for themselves. We are kicking off our thoughtful gifting series with holiday gift guides. Each member of the Christina Kober Designs team will be sharing their gift guide for the special people in their lives.

Many of us here at CKD don’t feel right walking into any store around the holidays and picking out a mass produced gift. We love taking the time to select something that supports a small business. All of the gifts you’ll see in our gift guides are something from a small business.

For our second gift guide, Suzanne is sharing her gifts ideas!

For my bandmate and bestie
We spend so much time together between writing, rehearsing, and traveling for shows we may as well be the same person. I thought that personalized matching rings would be the perfect gift! Our treasured ring with a message that references our band that we can both wear is a subtle reminder of the special bond we share. I’d throw in a petite stacker as a part of her gift as well because they look so good stacked together!

For my gear obsessed guitar playing husband
I’ve learned from my husband that there is a lot more to playing guitar than just strumming the instrument - there are so many accessories and gear that you can use to get different sounds and it can take a lot of different things to get the sound you want. This Defcon4 preamp from boutique company Walrus Audio is aesthetically pleasing and a great staple for any guitar player.

For my minimalist mom
My mom loves clean lines, neutral colors, and functional fabrics. This Linn Tee from Nashville designer Elizabeth Suzann speaks to her no-fuss approach to fashion. It’s also a great investment piece for her wardrobe - she can dress it up with black cigarette pants or wear it with jeans on a casual weekend.
