More Than Metal: The Value of What You Wear

Let’s talk about value—not just the kind measured in dollars, but the kind you feel.
Jewelry lives in a uniquely intimate space. It rests against your skin. It moves with you. You reach for it in quiet moments, tracing a word or phrase when you need grounding, courage, or reassurance. That relationship matters to me deeply because every piece I make begins with intention.
When an order comes through, I treat the message you’ve chosen as something sacred. I pause with it. I think about why it might have been chosen and what season of life it represents. If the words are in another language, I look up their meaning. As I stamp each letter, I focus on how they come together—how something so simple can become so powerful. I try to infuse every piece with care, hope, and respect for the story it’s meant to hold.

Some people might call that woo-woo. And honestly, that’s okay. Whether that energy truly transfers or not, I know this much: there is power in feeling a ring or necklace on your skin. There is something grounding about touching a word you chose when you need a reminder. Something emboldening about carrying language that reflects who you are—or who you’re becoming.
Now, I do want to gently address the elephant in the room: metal prices.
One year ago, on January 21, 2025, silver was $31 per ounce and gold was $2,710. Today, silver is $93 and gold is $4,800. In a single year, silver has tripled and gold has nearly doubled. These are historic highs, and while that can be exciting for investors, it presents real challenges for jewelers.
The materials I work with are the foundation of my art, and their rising cost pushes against what the market will reasonably bear. It raises hard, honest questions about sustainability—about how to continue creating meaningful work while maintaining a viable business. I want to be transparent about that reality without letting it overshadow why I do this in the first place.
Because for me, the true value of a piece of jewelry isn’t just the weight of the metal. It’s the meaning stamped into it. The reminder it offers. The quiet strength it gives you when you need it most.
Jewelry, at its best, is more than adornment. It’s a companion. A touchstone. A small, powerful object that carries love, intention, and words that matter—chosen by you, and honored by me.

No one can put a price on the memory and special meaning of every single piece of jewelry that so many of us are forever grateful to you for. Thank you for caring and for being who you are. 💗
With Love,
